SchoolMed Monthly Insight

As we head into a new semester, Goodside Health providers note they are seeing more Influenza B positives. This is a change from the Influenza A trend before the holidays.

While cold, flu and COVID can have similar symptoms, available treatments may vary considerably. When students come to school feeling under the weather, make sure they are registered and ready for a SchoolMed visit so they can get back to health as quickly as possible!

Sandwiched between the new year and summer break, the second half of the school year can be challenging for students. Here are a few tips for supporting students to support your students this spring.

  • Make school resolutions for the new year!
  • Get more sleep, and try to keep a consistent sleep schedule.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Make time to connect with people and unwind a bit.

These simple yet important reminders can help your campus communities stay safe and healthy.
